I discovered Natural Hoof Trimming when I read an article that Pete Ramey (a pioneer in barefoot trimming) had published in 2006.  My interest was piqued because my horses had body problems that puzzled me.  There was something seriously wrong.  I did saddle fitting and chiropractic, but the symptoms were still there.   When I read the article and started studying websites on Natural Trimming, I was sure I had found the root of the problem.  It was an imbalance of the feet.

There was not a natural trimmer in our area, so out of necessity I studied and trimmed my own horses.  The results were just what I was looking for.  Since then I have organized a clinic in the U.P. with Chad Bembenek, a certified instructor from the American Hoof Association, attended Pete Ramey's clinic, and started a business.    I have been at this for two years now and am thrilled with the results (so are the horses and owners under my care)!  I'm loving what I do and get to meet a lot of great horse people and horses.

The educational material is there, the science is there, the proof is there on what really works for the horse.  My hope is that all farriers and horse owners will discover how going barefoot gives absolute benefits to the whole horse.
